About | Days Plumbing and Contracting

Days Plumbing and Contracting is proudly a family owned and operated business.

Ray Day has built Days over a period of forty years, prior to his retirement in March 2005, and the company continues to hold the same focus on customer service albeit with a new management team.
New systems of electronic work monitoring, invoicing and a focus on customer satisfaction have been introduced to ensure performance.

We have a dedicated team of plumbers, drain layers and carpenters and any other property service you should require servicing from the smallest job to renovations, our motto being “no job to big or to small” reflects this appropriately.
Through Days association with the Switched On Group of companies Days have access to all and any trade required to ensure a "One Call Will Fix It All" service in Nelson and the Tasman district.

Being a family business we are dedicated to ensure that all our customers – whether big or small, get the highest level of service.

Background of ‘Days’
Geoff and Sue Hughes purchased Days in March 2005. They started a company called Switched On Electrical 25 years ago, growing from just himself, to a total staff today throughout the company group (Days, Switched On Property Maintenance and Switched On Contracting) of over 45 valued staff. The company group has a clear business direction relating to Maintenance and New Installations with a strong focus on service. SOPM (a Christchurch based maintenance company) is run by their son Chris.

These days Geoff and Sue remain Directors of the company group and have daily input through ensuring business focus continues and takes more of a background role in the company although still offering advice and leadership to his son Chris and the other members of the Management Team.
